When Michael Jackson died - Michael Jackson Funeral

I noticed I haven't done a Michael Jackson news hub yet, I guess saying I'm a little bit late is an understatement right? wrong, because its only a year since Michael Jacksons death and I am still hearing things on the news about Michael Jacksons ghost appearing in the reflection on a car bonnet photo in UK.

I watched an interesting Youtube video the other week which made a valid point about the way Michael Jacksons death was covered by the media 24/7 for a week after the event. The video pointed out that the coverage wasn't about the lost felt by millions of fans worldwide, it was centred more towards the news station's loss of one of their all time viewer generators.

While Michael was alive the newspapers, gossip magazines and TV reporters took every opportunity to headline nasty names such as 'Wacko Jacko', calling him a paedophile and judging the way he dresses his children with face coverings. The child abuse claims were dismissed by a court of law and the reason Jacko covered his children was probably to protect them from the paparazzi, it is none of their business and it comes down to the bottom line which is profit for news broadcasting.

So while we were watching the Michael Jackson funeral, we were also watching the funeral of the best thing ever to happen for news reporting, whenever there was no 'petrol crisis', 'recession' or 'Iraq War' to talk about, they could always rely on Michael who was up to something eccentric.

If his hair wasn't catching fire on stage, he was buying a pet monkey named 'bubbles', building a fairground in his backyard called 'Netherland', getting cosmetic surgery which made him appear white and not Afro American, dangling babies out of windows, commissioning elaborate paintings of himself or wearing face masks!

Next time you see some MJ News on TV remember that even though this man was very eccentric, he actually had a childlike and sometimes naive manner about him. In no way was he meticulous, I believe the claims that Jacko had missed out on a lot of his childhood and the combination of this and the pressure of his stardom made him make silly mistakes.

I think MJ was very brave to continue his career all the way up to his death and the fact that he planned to do a word tour called 'Michael Jackson - This is it' even with a lung disease makes me respect him even more. So remember that when you hear about Michael Jackson ghost footage on TV, his spirit is still with us because he was so strong to continue to uphold his honour even though the contoversy and they do say 'the good die young'.

To conclude my article I just want to say some facts about Michael Jackson and that is, I don't care about the silly mistakes he's made or some of the bizarre things, the man's philosophy about peace through his lyrics was revolutionary, his dances were the first of their kind not like manufactured pop acts of today and on top of this he had a breathtaking singing voice and style of his own!

Michael Jackson inspired hope in millions around the world, he uplifts people at work everyday when he comes on the radio and the young people he inspired shows that he cared about their future!
