Definition of Entrepreneur

I was a little stuck on ideas for a good hub tonight and decided to talk about entrepreneurs because I always have some insight and good feeling before I chose to write a hub. I wanted to look at the definition of entrepreneur and give my own feelings about what I think makes a successful entrepreneur in the online world.

At the moment I have several online business ideas that I'm hoping will take off and since the Google Panda algorithm I know a lot of entrepreneurs are lost at what to do next since all the old methods of getting recognition to your online service are failing. I have also seen a decline in traffic to some of my best webpages but like a guru of mine said on his blog, I don't see it as a reason to complain but something I can adapt to and come out ahead of competition.

I think one of the most famous traits of the entrepreneur is the ability to spread his interest across multiple software programs or networking platforms in the case of the internet entrepreneur. Most of the web masters on Hubpages use other websites such as Twitter, Wordpress, Youtube and other sites such as Fiverr to ease the stress of intense manual SEO work.

Business Entrepreneur

According to Wikipedia an entrepreneur is 'a person who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or idea and is accountable for the inherent risks and the outcome'.

Of course there are risks when the entrepreneur is in a managerial position at a corporation or in the marketing sector because proposing a massive change in the software a business uses could cause the client base to fall flat if they fail to adapt to new technology fast enough.A good example of recent entrepreneur ideas that only just managed to keep up was Foursquare which relied heavily upon people having the latest smartphones.

However it is not only employed entrepreneurs who put everything online to bring their vision to life, self employed entrepreneurship can have its highs and lows also because you have to take the good with the bad and realize the potential of your ideas when it appears that there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Young Entrepreneurs

It is true that it is good to start as a young entrepreneur because you can work your way up to creating 'Super websites' as I've heard them called in forums, but it is generally true of the successful entrepreneur to move from achievement to achievement and by this I mean he/she will create a portfolio of popular static webpages, then a thriving article directory and possibly a social network for some kind of niche.

Although this is only one form of becoming a famous entrepreneur online, many young entrepreneurs have earned a fortune by creating funny, debatable or useful channels on Youtube. I have recently had a suggestion box appear in my Youtube account suggesting I apply for their partnership program because I have one popular video, however I am waiting for my video to be reviewed by them.

Famous Entrepreneurs

Although I don't expect to be featured in entrepreneur magazine or be as famous as say 'Fred' from Youtube, I do believe I possess some of the qualities of an entrepreneur because I create original ideas such as my article directory for reviewing Gizmos and Gadgets and not many review sites allow you to submit your own opinions. I also keep update to date with new technology, for example I created a website that utilizes PHP mobile web design and advertisement, this site is Gopglemaps and allows people to find satellite maps.

To conclude this article this article on a fun and inspiring note I included a video clip from the movie 'The Social Network' that I suggest seeing even if you have to watch it alone. You've probably heard that the movie is about the life of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg but I included the scene which shows Justin Timberlake as founder of Napster.
