Japan Tsunami videos & Japan Earthquake Picture Hype

OK guys I know you are probably thinking 'Oh no not another amateur Japan Tsunami report!' and this is my exact point since I got home early from work this morning on the 11/3/11 there was only one hub published about the Japan Tsunami news and I thought I want to write about this later on this evening. By the time I had woke up around 5pm there were already a dozen poorly written articles and as we speak there is a flood of botched up home news reports and tribute videos on Youtube which I will talk about further down the page.

Why is everybody making these videos and webpage's when we all have the news on our TV and tabloid websites, are they trying to promote their other ventures by driving traffic to their home page? People shouldn't report false Japan Tsunami videos just to make a few bucks on advertising and if you must contribute to the same news by stealing Japan Tsunami images then at least donate your revenue earnings to a charity for the affected.

The default photo I have included is the first one that came up in search results but I don't think this is a genuine photo of the Japan Tsunami of 2011, maybe it is one from the past? I thought it was ridiculous how some people were saying on Youtube how it looks like something from the film 2012 and associating it with Mayans and some twisted people are saying it is natures revenge for Japan's past whaling.

Immediately after the photographs were beamed back to the UK and U.S, people took these Japan Tsunami photos as an opportunity to create hyped up headlines and it looked as though the media was itching to sell this story. I don't understand why such tragedy needs taglines, I think it is a little offensive when the words 'Japan Tsunami Disaster' would be equally effective.

I suppose it is easy to sit in our countries that haven't been effected by the mega Tsunami and create all of these webpages to say that we care but maybe some people are just doing it as the next thing to write about? Why not create a proper website and continue to show how relief is being sent out to those effected by the Japan Tsunami, you could even include a Paypal Donate button like I have talked about here.

Here are the official Tsunami warnings that you might have seen, Google removed the above warning on the evening of 11/3/11 GMT time anyhow and I am unsure why it was displayed on my UK search engine.

Why we needed amateur Youtubers to create 30 second videos to warn us about possible follow up Tsunami waves hitting Hawaii I don't know but the trash videos continued to flow in. One conspiracy nut was making comparisons between 3/11 and 9/11?  I haven't embedded his video though because I don't want to spread any more scaremongering than there already is.

If we already know? and its already all over the news why is this guy creating these, why not find some original footage..I wish he would be more 's-Pacific'. He includes links to other websites but if people weren't creating these shallow videos we would be able to find the more reliable Tsunami Japan videos more easily.

I even had to wait for an advertisement to run before a Tsunami video on Youtube and it made me think that if this is what everybody is going to be talking about this online for the next 72 hours then I am at least going to have my 10 cents.

I didn't want to be harsh about this because I know we are all just journalists inside, the above video is a nice compilation of footage along to music but we can see it is simply an attempt to advertise with a large banner obstructing nearly a third of the display.

I guess to conclude my rant I would like to gear all true journalists out there to come up with some quality debates, for example I was thinking of writing about why the Tsunami warning were ignored or why wasn't more done to prevent the Japan Tsunami damage? This is the type of material I would like to read and not trash about 'End times'!
