15 Gecko Reptiles for Pets

Ive actually owned my Leopard Gecko for about 8 months, I am always interested in other species of lizards but am not really in a position to look after anything which requires special lighting etc. I like to browse the internet for tips and came across some good webpages and groups about geckos. Here are some different species from around the world which I thought were cute or cool looking.

 Conterary to popular belief, Geckos are particularly friendly and will rarely bite. If you handly them slowly and with respect, they are fine, remember you would be scared at first if a giant hand took hold of you and lifted you into the air. If you speak to them calmly they will learn you are their friend. Even when they do bite, it doesnt hurt becaus they dont have sharp teeth.

 As with other articles the latter photo I have ended on a smile, it looks like a friendly face. Obviously some are prettier than others. How I think of my Gecko, you can't cuddle them, but they keep you company and are interesting to watch. The way their legs stretch as they walk and climb, mine actually looks very similar to the way a dog would stretch out when she lies down. Some are even tame enough that you could have them lie on your bed next to you and they wouldnt run off. I hope this article has opened your mind to how fascinating these animals are, and understand why people have an attachment to them.
